Having spent most of my education being a science student, I've had good practice in containing my desire to study English (officially), and an even stronger desire to learn music. After a couple of years of struggling to find both my passion, and the courage to embrace and progress with it, I've finally managed to get myself into music. Even so, I still somehow crave writing, whatever the length. It may seem odd, but I do enjoy learning about the different rules that govern what is believed to be "proper" usage of a language. Without the years of study and experience of writing however, I really don't have the capacity to write anything other than fairly straight forward articles. Still, I hope you will find some value in my thoughts and experiences with English!:)

I'm a native English speaker from Singapore by the way.

I am not a native speaker. Originally, I come from Hong Kong and study in Australia for more than 10 years. I started to study in Australia when I was 17 years old. Until recently, I completed a master of human resource management. Currently, I am studying master of entrepreneurship. Learning English always plays a huge part of my life throughout these years.
Thankfully, I have met many wonderful people who are willing to teach me English in non-traditional ways. This blog provides a perfect platform for me to share all my learning experiences with you.

My name is Twinkle. I was born in Hong Kong. I studied primary school in Hong Kong. And then I went to mainland to study in middle school for six years. I graduated last summer.
Studying English becomes more important and popular. There is no doubt that English is a necessary tool to communicate with other in my mind To be honest, I were not really interested in English before. In the school, I learned English in four parts: speaking, writing, listening and reading. This sounds not too bad. I focused these four parts on a horrible word-------grammar. I had to recite words, phrases, sentences, articles and so on.Even I remember all of this, I also feel that I don’t know how to use English to communicate, . So I deeply realized that is not the useful way to learn English.
I am very confused at the moment . What can I do to improve my English to communicate with others? I hope someone can give me some effective advices. Thanks a lot!
